Lenovo Problem - Chrome works, but not whatsapp, facebook. etc (Solved)

I have been trying to find the solution to the Lenovo problem where chrome works on 3G, but not whatsapp, facebook, etc. Through some trial and error, I found the solution.

Case 1 - Your internet does not work on 3G at all.

In this case, you need to have the correct APN settings for your mobile.

Case 2 - Your internet works on chrome, but fails on whatsapp, facebook, gmail, etc.

Here, simply goto to Settings -> Mobile Data -> and enable applications.

As you can see, some applications have blue up-down arrows, and some are grayed. Blue are the ones 'enabled', while 'gray' are the ones 'disabled'. On my mobile phone, Lenovo Vibe P1, Facebook, whatsapp, gmail, etc. were grayed out. All I did was click on the arrows to enable them, and voila, the selected apps worked.

Its quite a mess, when you look at end-users perspective that the user has to look so thoroughly. I have spent two weeks to figure this out. There is not post on internet which gives a solution on this. But, from an advanced user's point of view, it makes sense, which gives him more control, on which apps should be allowed on data usage and which should be denied.

Thanx folks! :)
